Always wanted to learn to weld and finding someone to do welding repairs is becoming increasingly difficult as most welders retire. So I bought this model because I liked that it could run at 240 or 120. I used a 240v circuit with a 30 amp switch. I bought some coupons and practiced with the bead and then proceeded to connecting with the metal. Using the E6013 3/32 electrodes at 70 A, the arc ignited quickly and evenly; 70 amps was a bit high so I reduced it to 65 and the beads were really good. Not sure how it will behave on lap 120, but on lap 240 it was easy to use. It seems like a solid welder for light home projects and was easy to master in basic welding. The car is very small and light. Useful for renovation or project.
