Wireless CarPlay doesn't usually work properly, so save yourself some money.
My old iPhone worked with the device but the new one doesn't connect to wireless CarPlay. I pair the Bluetooth, turn on the hotspot from the head unit and connect to it, go to Settings > General > Carplay and Car-Link comes up but when I click on it my phone just sits there. I regret spending so much money on this main unit as it does not do what is advertised. I'm using an iPhone 12 and iOS 14.4.2 for those reading this and curious.
