I've used a variety of chemicals to remove limescale stains for decades. I haven't seen anything like this before. First, a recently purchased used car was damaged by hard water for 8 years due to leaking pipes in the garage. The product miraculously worked on painted surfaces in seconds without damaging the clear coat. Alternatively, a polishing paste or buffing from less damaged areas could be used, but this would wear away the clear coat. Windows takes more time, and for this reason I recommend doing them separately. All hard water is removed in seconds and you can clearly see how the product did its job. However, some hard water damage was visible in some of the more heavily damaged areas, but this was a deep etch caused by hard water in the clear coat. In this case, a light buff would easily fix this. Note: The first photo is a "before" shot of the worst area, near the left wing. The second photo is "after" of the same section. No hard water residue remains, however the clear coat is very slightly etched which will definitely come off with buffing. There are also some stubborn white dirt stains that I removed with a clay stick, but these are not related to limescale and can only be removed with a clay stick. As can be seen from the "after", the exit has recovered significantly. Tips: Apply in a shady place, taking into account the outside temperature, relative humidity and wind conditions. Sections were slightly damp and product was maxed out in the worst areas. Do not leave the product for more than a few minutes. Glass surfaces must be rubbed vigorously until the product covers the entire surface and then wait 20-30 seconds for it to work. The product does not "stick" to painted surfaces, unlike glass, so wiping is required to evenly remove stains, but this is very easy and quick. It is possible to rinse off with plain water if you are able to dry the excess, but remember that the clear coat is fully exposed and additional steps need to be performed immediately prior to waxing or ceramics, such as: a clay bar, buffing and rubbing with isopropyl alcohol. Be careful with old glass that may already be etched and rear view mirrors as these are usually made of plastic and can be etched or otherwise damaged. There were no issues with rubber, plastic, plastic, trim, chrome or any other finish.
