I used this sensor to replace the PCM temp sensor on my 2000 Explorer. It fits snugly in and replaces the sensor on the passenger side of the thermostat housing. It doesn't screw all the way into my car like the stock sensor, but it's solid and doesn't leak. It has been installed for several months and works perfectly.
