Paper wrapped in Oil System Tools
I have a 435i coupe. I bought it without reading the reviews first as it was used in a YouTube video on an F30 335i with the same engine. After reading the reviews I realized it might be too small and probably should be padded with paper before using it. This method worked. I didn't want to accidentally damage the oil filter housing by turning the key out of the box. I'm not sure if this is perfect, but it worked. I recommend if you have a newer BMW with an N55 engine do the same.
