Bought this chain about a month ago and use it on my new BMX bike to ride everywhere. I almost turned my back on it because of the complaints I've seen about the locking mechanism jamming. I didn't even have the slightest sign that the lock was jammed. Although cylinder locks are a little tricky to lock and unlock unless you insert the key all the way and move the cylinders. I bought a five foot chain, it's a bit heavy (probably around ten pounds) but I wanted to make sure I could fully lock the front wheel, rear wheel and frame into each rack. It's been less than two weeks since I've used it on my new bike and it's already paid for itself. I was at the local library locked next to some pretty beat up bikes and an hour later I heard a guy say they stole his bike. The nylon on my chain had a slash on it and that was it. So I am very satisfied and confident in this lock and would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a medium to high security lock.
