I remember when I was a kid lamp holders had thick paper as an insulator. They were cheaply made but lasted a lifetime. Old style garage door openers had a ceramic rosette that would have outlived the life of the door opener. If you are good with tools, you'd better buy an old ceramic ceiling socket, install a 4-corner box on the ceiling and plug it in. In addition to sockets for light, the Camerlin door opener works excellently.
