Fixed an issue with the garage door opener lamp.

LIFTMASTER Garage Door Opener 4A1344 Light Outlet One of our Handyman (Chamberlain's) garage door opener bulbs did not flicker or light up at all regardless of the bulb used. Cleaning the lamp contact at the base of the socket with 100 grit sandpaper fixed this for a while, but eventually one bulb went out. Works well, easy to install, same bad design

Arrived quickly and in good proportion. A new one has appeared. They were easy to install. Just take a flat head screwdriver and pry on the right side of the old socket, pry it out and then use needle nose pliers to remove the wires. The front panel does not need to be removed. Connect the cords to the new outlet and press firmly. They were white instead of the original black, but they fit perfectly and looked original. Now the bad news and why I dropped the star. This is the same design flaw…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of style
