It's better than the broken pen you replace, but only because it's not broken yet. I don't really think it will last very long, the working rod link arms are very flimsy, be careful when attaching them. You will also need a short (3/8"?) 1/4" pop rivet to install them. I had a 3/16" on hand, but that wasn't enough.
