Overall I'd say I liked this batting, but it's not easy to pin down with safety pins. It wasn't as easy as using another brand (bought elsewhere) that I've used for baby blankets in general, but it's also about half the price. On average, I spend about $65 on baby blanket fabric plus batting, so a little shave is always nice as long as it doesn't affect the durability of the blanket. I can't comment on that yet - a baby blanket should last a lifetime for the child it's made for and one day wrap their own babies. I'll be long gone before that happens! To date, it seems to be as durable as any other cotton. It does not stretch when laid, smoothed and otherwise processed when preparing for quilting. I do machine quilting, but as difficult as it is to push the needles through, hand quilting might not be very interesting.
