At first glance the filters appear to be ok. I tested them first with some kind of stain I had on hand that was slowly dissolving, but it worked so I thought so far so good. then the weather got better and the paint came off. FYI, I only ordered these for color use, not stain. However, I found them completely unsuitable for drawing. I used latex paint that was heavily thinned and still all I got was drips, drips, drips from the screen. I tried it twice, two different screens with equally unbearably slow results. was it dripping drop by drop at such a rate that perhaps in a few hours there would be a pint or so of liquid left? Luckily I ordered another type of filter at the same time as stock, and it worked as expected. I ended up throwing away the rest of the batch because they would never be of any use to us. I do not recommend them for use with paint. Can they be useful when applying dyes with smaller amounts?
