UPDATE: The back is cracked (March 26th 2021) but overall the device still protects so I still give it 5 stars. I'm one of those people who love having things to protect their electronics. Even though my iPad is one of the older models, it works great and I want it to last as long as possible. I don't usually take my iPad out of the house; When I do that, however, I want to have as much protection as possible. I usually carry a backpack and I tend to be a little violent with my bag (dropping it on the ground, banging on things, etc.) - it gives me a sense of protection (which really works). This can be a bit cumbersome. for some people but i love it.
