Highly Recommended

I'm a big fan of this stove top grill. My apartment building has the most sensitive fire alarm in the world. I got it off while cooking quesadillas on the stove and didn't even burn anything. Since every apartment has one of the building's smoke detectors going off, I was a little nervous about trying this grill. I'm impressed that it didn't give off the slightest bit of smoke and the food came out great. You have to preheat it. The instructions say to heat until you hear a "hiss". I dripped water drops on it with my fingertips until I heard a hiss. For the uploaded photos, I marinated the chicken overnight in a delicious mustard and rosemary marinade and it turned out gorgeous. I also added some dried rosemary to the water ring and my apartment smelled of rosemary as it heated up creating a fragrant vapor. It took my gas stove about 15 minutes to get the grill hot enough to hear the hiss. I then butterflies one of the chicken breasts and left the other thick to see what comes out best. They last longer than you think because the heat isn't concentrated like it is with an outdoor grill. I flipped the chicken after about ten minutes and it wasn't sticking at all, which is surprising since I didn't use a drop of oil to oil this grill (but there was some olive oil in the marinade). I used a meat thermometer to check the internal temp and removed the chicken breasts when the meat reached an internal temp of 165 degrees. Cleaning was easy. The surface is truly non-stick. The chicken turned out delicious, with a crispy "crust" on the outside but really tender and juicy on the inside. Buttered chicken cooked faster and became crispier the larger the surface area. Both turned out great! I'm so glad that I can grill in my apartment despite the sensitive fire alarm!
