Revainrating 3 out of 5

They have ceramic magnets. Might be stronger.

I really wanted to give this five stars, but there are a few things that are disappointing. First, and this can only be my fault, I hate the stupid labels on the front of these things. It looks like a label on a trash can that says "trash can". Really stupid. I understand it should be there from a marketing perspective, but they should really make it easy to remove. The good news is that with a sharp 1/4" chisel and some Goo Gone it only took me about 20 minutes and they are (IMO) looking better. Second, after removing the labels, I found that the magnets were ceramic and not neodymium. Rare earth magnets. I think this was done to keep costs down. As a result, they are not as strong as they could be. A strip won't hold my lathe tools and they slip off. Tools with a flat side and some surface (like the side of the hammer in the item photo) will do, but I had to fold the strips in half to hold the tools (this increases my cost because I need more now) . I had to use them. The third issue is minor, but the screws they send are only long enough to fit 5/8 inch drywall. sure, you have two options: either use your own longer screws to get into the rack, or use your own anchors and drywall screws. I would order them again but wish they had neodymium magnets. That would be nice.
