Review on Keeper 02942 30 Recovery Strap by Scott Rao

Know that this is a limitation and you will live a happy life.

This is a good harness if you know its limitations. This is a large woven burley belt suitable for DRIVEN a vehicle, not bucking or bump loading. Basically, despite what it says, this belt has very, very little stretch and is not safe for jerk recovery. Snatch is a technical procedure that involves accelerating a car and if you don't know how to do it then don't learn it from this test. A little stretch means you're using a lot of force trying to pull with it, and you'll break either the strap or the piece of metal; possibly fatal. So why? It's good for towing a car, which is all you need 95% of the time. If you need to get your vehicle out of mud or snow, you can tie it to a secure point, loosen the vehicle until the cable is taut, and then use this strap to gently pull it out. The length is good for holding the rescue vehicle on a hard surface. The eyes are large enough to feed themselves. The seams look heavy. In general this is good value for money. But know your limitations and realize that applying great force to the leash is always dangerous.
