Review on Ultimate Performance: Rip Curl Dawn Patrol Back Zip 3/2 GB Wetsuit by Adewole Sherman

This was a great product for about 7 months (although there was no surfing for about 3 of those months as there were no waves). I've always worn a spring 1/2 suit in Orange County, California, and in the winter I shake for well over an hour and can't stay in the water for more than an hour and a half. I spent 2 hours in 55 degree water on 12/31/11 and it was great. Normally I feel a chill in my stomach in my old spring suit, but I was warm the whole time in this one. I could stay in the water all day. I didn't understand how a suit could make boogie boarding an activity where there is no cold involved. It is great. The quality seems pretty good but only time will tell. Time said because it ripped a few inches at the back when I pulled the velcro. Instead, he broke his back. Very disappointing. I have had 3 spring suits and never had a problem until 10+ years of heavy use but this one has only done about 15 sessions. Rip Curl HQ is very close by so they glued the suit on and it worked for a couple of sessions but then the glue came off. I have to contact them to fix it a second time. I can't open my suit without help because of the rip.
