Ultimate Performance: Rip Curl Dawn Patrol Back Zip 3/2 GB Wetsuit Review

Through trial and error, I found that this wetsuit didn't hold up well in the water. The fit was uncomfortable and restrictive, leading to an overall unpleasant experience during water sports.

Bought this suit about a month ago and used it several times. Very warm, waterproof and absolutely flexible. I've been surfing for 15 years and I don't know what the benefit of a $400 suit is. I'd rather not know because I'm perfectly happy with what I have. I can't say how it will hold up over the years, but so far so good.

This was a great product for about 7 months (although there was no surfing for about 3 of those months as there were no waves). I've always worn a spring 1/2 suit in Orange County, California, and in the winter I shake for well over an hour and can't stay in the water for more than an hour and a half. I spent 2 hours in 55 degree water on 12/31/11 and it was great. Normally I feel a chill in my stomach in my old spring suit, but I was warm the whole time in this one. I could stay in the water…
