I recently bought a new kayak and wanted to change the way boats are stored in the garage. For decades I have used two eyebolts screwed into a garage ceiling transom and threaded fasteners to attach kayaks, canoes and paddleboards. But I wanted a new system that would make it easier for me to pick up the boat and row. The Lehigh Storage Hook is an economical way to store your boat against a vertical wall for easy access. I moved the thin spacer that came with the hook to cover the screw holes. Then I bought pool noodles from Walmart with a hole in the middle (about $2) and put them on the part of the hook that was going to make contact with my boat. I cut the pasta to size and now the system works great.
