Note the difference in the picture. The clip on the left is the typical one we use and is widely used. The clip on the right is for sale here. The plastic is different. My installers report that the clip on the right isn't as good - the plastic stretches and doesn't bend back - it's not as "springy". So if you put a C9 socket in the hole, for example, the "hands" will not spring well and securely hold the lamp socket. When you expand a hole, it doesn't bounce much. If you're comfortable with "one and done" or bulbs that don't fit exactly due to less hole flexibility, then these are for you.
