i love this caliper. In this case, I use a cheaper case that is lighter. Works well. Feels high quality. Been using it for months, no problem. (I'm an amateur writer.) -ABS button is my advice, use this button instead of the ZERO button The ABS button switches to incremental mode and essentially does what you want the ZERO button to do, but if you use ABS press again, it goes back to true zero :-) - Never press ZERO, only use ABS. absolute zero. To check the calibration I use a 1" calibrated stick. But . It would also be nice to have the absolute original settings at the touch of a button. (Maybe if I can find the manual it will tell you how to do it.)
