I ordered a half size up as reviews said they run small. My usual athletic shoe size is 10, so I chose 10 1/2. I have some length behind my toes but not so much that they are too big to wear. I can definitely wear thick socks if needed. What I like: The sole is very durable and stable. They prevent my ankle from twisting and make my stride more stable and secure. Good cushioning and heel hold. I also like wide shoelaces. Do not like? They're great for running, but I'm not thrilled with the looks. However, I was looking for a supportive hiking shoe and got it, so will definitely be wearing a lot of these. But they get dirty easily not only because of the upper, but also because of the color. The material on the instep and on the toes is thin and ribbed. It's very comfortable but I don't know how they will hold up. Overall I recommend them as well supportive and comfortable shoes.
