Review on 🚀 Maxpow Rear Trunk Lift Supports - Struts Shocks Springs Props for Ford Mustang Trunk (1994-2004, With Spoiler) 6803 by Billy Braggs

I bought these trunk supports to replace the worn ones on our 2004 Ford Mustang. The overall length of the unfolded post was the same as the standard post, but the compressed length (as if the trunk were closed) was approximately 1/2 inch longer than the standard posts. This prevented the decklid from sitting flush with a quarter of the trim and put undue pressure on the deck hinge. I ended up using a grinding wheel in my drill bit to grind down the plastic body on the bottom bracket to allow the rod to go further into the tube. I only had to remove about 1/8 inch to allow the post to compress enough to fit properly. If I had to do it again I would probably return them and buy a different set.
