Stop living with worn out trunk shock absorbers that won't hold the trunk!

Perfect for 97 Mustang convertible with spoiler. So easy to install. Literally takes no more than 5 minutes. Using a screwdriver, pry the clips on the top and bottom of the old trunk lift shock absorbers and pull them out of the bracket. Slide the new shock absorber into place. Did. Stop living with worn out trunk shocks that won't hold the trunk. Replace them with new ones. You'll be so glad you did.

  • GOLS certified

The super powerful buoyancy might be a bit too powerful, but it's worth it!

After installing it I can't believe I didn't do this a long time ago! Cheap and very effective! Once I figured out how it was connected, replacing the old ones with the new ones was very easy. The only downside is that they seem too strong when you try to close the door, it takes more force. (Although probably because I'm so used to the door closing/slamming on its own on old broken lifts.) If you're having trouble with trunks or sunroofs, do yourself a favor and get them now!

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Some bugs

Should have done this many years ago!

For years I struggled with a heavy trunk on my 2001 Mustang. Actually, I would have to open it, take out the key, put it on the keychain and lift the trunk with both hands (I'm a small woman, so I can't operate with one hand). It was just an annoyance. Now I can just touch it up and BOOM! It just stands out! It takes a little force to push it down, but no complaints! Installation took 2 minutes: using a flat head, 2 clips were removed from the old post, then each new post was inserted with aโ€ฆ

Slightly long Best in Lift Supports

I bought these trunk supports to replace the worn ones on our 2004 Ford Mustang. The overall length of the unfolded post was the same as the standard post, but the compressed length (as if the trunk were closed) was approximately 1/2 inch longer than the standard posts. This prevented the decklid from sitting flush with a quarter of the trim and put undue pressure on the deck hinge. I ended up using a grinding wheel in my drill bit to grind down the plastic body on the bottom bracket to allowโ€ฆ

No more tearing up your stomach just to open the trunk. Well!

I installed them on a 2000 Mustang 3.8 with spoiler in less than five minutes using only a thin flat head screwdriver and pliers (a screwdriver to partially pry the clips holding the ball connectors and a pair of pliers to re-tighten the clips to the balls after attaching them (voila!). And now, as soon as I unlock our Stang's trunk and start curling the trunklid up after the lid is about three or four inches up, those hits take over and the lid opens all by itself. And closing the trunklidโ€ฆ

This is not good as the stress is on the loop or

My experience with the 1999 GT coupe is that they are a bit longer which causes them to be slightly longer when closing the trunk lid. This is not good as it puts stress on the hinge or bracket of the gas lift trunk lid. In my case, the displacement of the truck cover was noticeable when installing this lift and was non-existent with factory parts. The product looks almost like stock, no better and no worse. Most of the body is longer than the stock. The ends are made of plastic like theโ€ฆ
