Review on Panasonic Ultra Assist Blu Ray Player by Kenny Marozas

Like many others, I bought a Sony UBP-X800 along with my Samsung QLED on the advice of a Best Buy employee, not knowing anything about the HDR format war between Dolby Vision and HDR10+ and how my Blu-ray player will be thanks to it would never put out the best possible picture for my TV. But after a year of waiting, a player that can do both has finally been released! The only downside is the price, but I think it's worth it. At first I was nervous about the weight; the thing is really easy. It shouldn't matter, but there's something beautiful about a massive car. However, after watching a few movies on it, none of that mattered because the picture was beautiful. I can't even explain why, but compared to my old Sony, the contrast between dark and light has improved a lot. Additionally, it has multiple HDR modes that you can switch and choose the one that looks the best. really cool feature. And HDR10+ looks so good. At the moment there's only Aliens and Alita, but even compared to HDR10 the difference is really noticeable. In terms of sound, it transmitted data to my receiver via the second HDMI without any problems. Yes, and setup is very easy. There is a simple setup wizard to prepare the player and a wizard to connect to the internet. Once that was complete, he proceeded to update to the latest firmware. Sweet. Now for the minor downsides: First, the remote control. Why put the Netflix button next to the up arrow is beyond me. It takes forever to get to your apps like YouTube (second complaint), so accidentally hitting that button and blowing you into the Netflix app really sucks. Third, the interface is usable but nothing special. He is slow and quite clumsy. Overall I'm very happy with this player and if you also have QLED I highly recommend it.
