I read many reviews and made my choice. There are cheaper kits out there but I liked the design of the case so I went with this one. I have often used a 1-1/4" bit when making holes in 55 gallon plastic barrels for a rain barrel project. One of the reviews mentioned that they require a crown to remove the mandrel from the crown I hope that person hit it with their purse fist, which usually loosens it. Here's an easier way, remove the drill bit, loosen the threaded screw, then stick a smaller screwdriver through the side holes and remove the hole saw bit. Not difficult, right "That's because it's not difficult! Are there better bit-locking designs? Yes, in this set it's easier to remove a larger mandrel if you use a larger mandrel.
