excellent cut but hard to remove wood circle

Cuts VERY well and makes a nice clean hole and outside on the removed cylinder BUT . Pulling the log cylinder out of the cutter is a REAL pain. The claim that side slits help the process is just a marketing joke. You have to push the rod through the holes in the top of the cutter to push the cylinder out and even then it's difficult because the cut is so precise and the cylinder is so clean it fits the cutter very snugly. very well made and looks like it will last a long time.

Great set for the homeowner or professional!

I read many reviews and made my choice. There are cheaper kits out there but I liked the design of the case so I went with this one. I have often used a 1-1/4" bit when making holes in 55 gallon plastic barrels for a rain barrel project. One of the reviews mentioned that they require a crown to remove the mandrel from the crown I hope that person hit it with their purse fist, which usually loosens it. Great set of bi-metal saws, not for contractors. (But you already knew that)

Great set of bimetal saws, not a contractor. (But you already knew that) I have nothing to complain about, poke holes in everything and do it well. The first drill bit in the kit was curved so the hole was not round and larger than it should have been. Remove and test the other two INCLUDED drill bits and they are good and straight.
