Review on Enhanced Performance Double Action Pump with Integrated Pressure Gauge by Shane Jenkins

I bought this pump and used it to inflate my Advanced Elements Airfusion Elite kayak this weekend. It worked great to inflate the airbags but the gauge didn't show anything. I bought a model with a pressure gauge because the maximum pressure on the kayak is quite low and I was afraid of too much pressure. The kayak was quite expensive (by my standards) and I didn't want to accidentally damage it. So I contacted Advanced Elements (866-262-9076) and they told me the Airfusion Elite's Boston valves are one-way valves. Therefore, without a special adapter with a pin, the manometer will not show pressure. They're sending me one for free, so I don't give them credit for it. I give the pump 3 stars for inflating my kayak quickly and effortlessly, but I really think they should include a note about one-way valves and how they affect readings. Or, even better, just pop a male adapter in the box.
