Review on ๐Ÿ’ง Enhanced Filtration: Polypropylene Electrostatic Non Woven for Maximum Efficiency by Jacob Diego

Really aggressive electrostatic filter

I found this Filter is so electrostatically aggressive that it attracts particles when you cut and shape it. Be sure to follow the directions and wash your hands. The filter material is very thin for a MERV16+ filter. That's both good and bad. Because of its density, it tends to restrict airflow unless your filter area is large. This shouldn't be a problem for most sheet masks. In addition, due to its density, it is held together and cut cleanly, making it very easy to give the mask the shape you want. The thinness also prevents retention of exhaled air, giving the wearer more fresh air. Also the pen marks it very well. Outline the mask and cut the filter 1/8 inch inside the drawn line. I machine sew the nose together, but a little more and minimal overlap should work as well. To reduce surface contamination I usually sew. my own filters for custom masks by buying 3-ply polypropylene mask material in bulk and substituting this material for the thin inner filter layer. Then I sew the edges and the nose together to form a cup that fits over the nose and mouth. This also allows for easier insertion between layers of fabric, which is really just a coating, I think. You get plenty of material and each batch is tested with a test result sticker on the pouch. The aluminized pouch is heat sealable and airtight. .Recommended.

Pros
  • Get a 30 square foot sheet of advanced filter media, 24"(W) x 180"(D) x 0.3mm (thick)
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something
