Review on πŸ”§ Motion Pro 90 Degree 1/4" Hex Driver Carb Tool - Easy Carb Maintenance with Variety of Bits by Deandre Kamaludin

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not worth what they charge (Pit Posse vs. Motion Pro)

Tldr: Get the Pot Posse tool, this tool doesn't give reviews even with the BB removed. I bought both Pit Screwdriver Posse and Motion Pro. I own and work on several carbureted Honda motorcycles. I figured I might as well bite the bullet and get this tool instead of trying to overhaul my carburetors every time I want to replace exhaust pipes. What came was an absolute disappointment. Let's talk about the pros first. Pros: + The build quality of the Motion Pro is excellent. The handle is anodized, the detent is a bad but good idea, and the tool itself is incredibly beautiful and comfortable to hold.+ The Motion Pro tool can use universal screwdriver bits. No posse in the pit. The height between the tool head and the bottom of the tool is consistently less for the Motion Pro+ tool. The handle has markings showing how far the handle is turned. The tool is just great and a pleasure to use (not in use). They all sound great, why not go with the Motion Pro tool? Well, it has one fatal flaw that anyone who tunes carburetors will understand, especially those unfortunate enough to use Honda D-bits. Cons: - You don't get any physical feedback when using/loading this screwdriver. The serrated and bonded gears are under tension and don't spin smoothly, leaving you completely blind when adjusting with this tool. You can't feel the resistance of a screw and know it's turning, you have to hope and pray your bit won't slip off. This alone makes the tool useless. I really want to like this instrument. I was determined to keep it even though it was more expensive than the Pit Posse and even though I didn't have a good carrying case. And then I tried it, and my mind changed immediately. Some people say it's because of how the gears are cut (skew or straight), others say it's a slide in a handle (it's not, I checked the manual and removed it before using it) ( it's useless by the way), the end result is the same. This tool is useless for what it's supposed to facilitate, and for the price a traffic professional is asking, it's a mugger. Skip Motion Pro, get Pit Posse.
