Review on ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ 60 Count, 13 Gallon Tall Kitchen Drawstring Trash Bags โ€“ Strong & Leak-Proof White Garbage Bags, 50L Capacity, No Perforation by Melanie Jones

Nice bags but high price and tears tend to spread

I believe these bags are made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and not the more common Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE). This means they are crumpled like grocery bags, not soft and stretchy like most kitchen drawstring bags. This offers both advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are less plastic in the packaging (good for the environment) and higher puncture resistance. The downside is that HDPE tears more easily. So if something punctures the bag, the tear will be more aggressive. This is a big problem for me as it seems like we throw things in the kitchen waste that puncture the bag and by the time the bag falls down the garbage chute (we live in an apartment building) the hole has widened into one big tear and the Contents spill into a trash can at the bottom of the gutter, which the foreman doesn't like. Other positive aspects of these bags: they are individually rolled, so you don't have to tear the bags at the perforation; the tip is beautiful and wide; Pockets are roomy; no smell. Other cons: the price is much higher than branded bags (don't know why). Conclusion: These are okay bags, but the high price and the susceptibility to tearing make them not as good as normal Hefty or Glad kitchen bags for me.
