Review on Lucas Heavy Lever Aluminum Grease by Corey Krull

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good to have on hand

My Lucas Grease syringe arrived today, I just assembled it. It seems cute. Hard wearing with essential metal. The carving is good on everything, there are no burrs. The instructions in the kit are somewhat ambiguous. For example, it comes with a piece of teflon tape, but the pictures in the instructions only show how to attach it to a 5-3/8 inch grease tube. They don't mention the need to tape the threads of the 12" flexible tubing. I need to use flexible tubing so I wrapped teflon tape around its threads. It rolled up and tightened well. Be sure to unscrew the piston assembly, pull it out and apply a thick coat of grease to the outside of the rubber piston. The tip that attaches to the mirror mount is adjustable. Its action is similar to a drill and a drill. I leave my hand loose and screw it in to pull the hole back, place it over the mirror mount, and then hand tighten (screw the other way) to fit snugly to the mirror mount. It's included in the instructions and should be fairly easy to understand. After filling and installing it I had to pump the grip a couple of times I think to deflate before it started greasing. I only had time before dark to lubricate the wheel bearing in my car and everything was fine. I hope for many years of trouble-free operation.
