I have a medium sized dog (about 30 pounds) who is VERY strong and energetic for his size. It took some effort to drive this stake into the ground, but it worked quite well considering how hard the dog pulled on it. The O-ring has a swivel that prevents the cable from getting tangled. I bought two of these; One of them broke at the top handle where you hold it to screw it into the ground. The other one was ok. As they are relatively cheap I am still happy with this product and plan to buy a replacement for the broken one.
