I use it as a boot drive for my home storage server. Windows Server 2012 R2. I haven't measured the exact loading time, but it's less than 10 seconds. Shutdown also less than 10 seconds. I would like to add that when my server is running, the total memory used is 1.3GB. So I would guess that when you reboot, the entire boot process is stored on the NAND flash. I'm not sure. When it comes to booting Windows 7, 8, 10 etc I don't think you will see much improvement. Use an SSD for everyday use of a computer or game console.
