I've been filling 8 ounce jar candles with soy wax in an old metal pot in boiling water for years. I loved the wax heater to melt the wax but wow it's so small. This is more for making cakes and small items for candles. The little jars are cute and reusable. I feel like you can never have enough wicks, wax, warning labels and paint so I'm very glad this set has it all. For those just starting out and trying something, this would be ideal. It has wax, heating pads, cans, dye, wicks and wick holders and warning labels. With the right scent, you can start your own little business. For this purpose I can recommend it!
