Review on πŸ”¬ Uncover Radon Threats at Home: Introducing RADEX MR107+ Advanced Radon Gas Detector by Brandon Roberts

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High performance, true to size

I've been using the MR107 for a few months now. I was very skeptical at first, but after putting it off, talking to tech support, and looking at the data, I was convinced it was working properly and measuring accurately. Radon is difficult to measure, especially in a small chamber, and this instrument does it well. It uses a solid-state sensor to detect radon progenies, the most well-known technology in the industry. The firmware works well, the small display on the front is surprisingly informative and there is PC software for full understanding and analysis. I kept the device near the hole in the basement most of the time. In dry weather it reads "< 30", if it rains heavily for a few days (this happens every two weeks here in Alabama), the soil around the house releases enough radon to raise the reading to 175 Bq /m3 to double the security level. Living proof that you can't just measure once and be safe Benefits: Reliable, serious scientific instrument from a reputable company Comes with a European Certificate of Conformity Easy to understand, informative display Internal battery, once charged, lasts several days PC - very informative, easy to use, great tech support (get the phone number at Revain support) Cons: comes without a USB power adapter, you need to plug it into a USB port to get low levels, it says " < 30 Bq/m3” – which is true for science but not very reassuring. Trust me, everything is fine. All in all a great device and worth the money. Highly recommended.
