Ideal for smooth driving on roads and concrete. Amazing value for what is included. I'm running an 8" board with 7.5" carriages and these wheels just go to the edge of the board. So yes, they do stick out a bit. If you have a 7.5" board and 7.5" rails, these wheels will stick out further than your board! This makes the tricks even more difficult. As for tricks, yes you CAN do tricks with it, but I strongly encourage you to learn your tricks on a board with small wheels and then try them later. It's a lot harder to do tricks with these wheels when you already know the trick, but I just don't see anyone learning tricks right away with these wheels on the board.
