If you know how to use a dahle sharpener then you can use this one and you will be very happy and excited that you found it. This is better in my opinion and works great for sharpening every pencil I've tried in it. You have to hold it with one hand and twist it with the other, but it's really not that difficult. Once you've adjusted the sharpness with the rear silver knob, pull out the front end, push the knob into the side of the pencil, and then while holding it turn the knob. This is a beautiful sharpener that you won't want to miss because of all the bad and misinformed reviews. It's half the price of, and outperforms, more expensive brands.
