This is a GOOD french press. Attractive polished stainless steel and a 50 oz capacity (that's 10 x 5 oz mugs in the world of Lilliputian coffee makers). I've made several pots and they have been delicious. Very little left. if you use a coarse grind. Stainless steel is high quality and keeps the coffee warm longer than glass. Some people think that coffee left in a French Press will become more bitter over time because it contains ground coffee, but I haven't encountered a problem with this. The press is tight and seems to isolate the pressed coffee grounds from the rest of the coffee. This press is also very quick and easy to clean. Thanks to that and the lack of a paper filter, this is my easiest way to brew coffee in the morning. I've been using automatic drip irrigation for years, but the coffee was just average. And the inner workings of the machine end up being a bit rough. even with occasional maintenance. I also have and sometimes still use 50oz Chemex, mainly for those who want to filter their coffee well. Unfortunately, for my taste, this process seems to remove some coffee flavors that I like that Secura doesn't remove. And one more thing, you don't have to worry about changing the carafe due to broken glass. This device is priced below its acquisition cost. in my opinion ($35 when I bought). Can't imagine you'll find a better press or price.
