Wanted a bathroom clock to keep up with schedule but couldn't find an inexpensive indoor and outdoor clock. Decided to try this. Three weeks later everything is fine. It has four large suction cups on the back. I wanted to use a "drop eye" and the suction cups got in the way. The back can be unscrewed like a can lid, and this is how you get into the battery compartment. If you turn the suction cups slowly and push them out from under the lid with your thumb or forefinger, they will pop out. If you use suction cups, you can attach a protective device to your watch. For example, take a piece of fishing line and tie one end to the clock's "hanging eyelet" and the other end to a nail in the wall or similar. That way, if the suction cups decide to stop sucking, your watch has a chance to survive. I did this with my toll road pass attached to my car's windshield with a suction cup and a tether attached to my rear view mirror. On very hot days I sometimes get in the car and it hangs. Some of the reviews that mention problems also say trying to attach the watch to the tile with a suction cup. Suction cups need a perfectly smooth, hard surface, like a (clean) mirror. The uneven surface of the tile will break the seal and I don't expect the watch to stick for long.
