super thick! Nice and long so your hands don't burn. They smell a little like they came off a container ship. And they were made in India. that might explain the smell. It's not bad. It's just palpable. I'm sure they will take on a new smell after a few days in the kitchen. Colors are very dull and muted. I was hoping for a bright looking fish, he looks old.
