Review on Selle SMP TRK Saddle Large Black: Ergonomic and Comfortable by Lamont Manjrekar

I've been riding again for about a year and during that time the saddle was my biggest headache. I have bought (5) different seats, 3 different pairs of riding shorts and nothing has improved the comfort. I hate riding in shorts! So this time I spent a little more money and bought this saddle hoping to find comfort. My plan was to find a comfortable saddle and ride without any padded shorts. I didn't want to drive 15 miles from home and walk my bike back, but I'm lucky and want to share my experience. I usually ride the same bike path, it's concrete, tarmac with some gravel, and the distance is exactly 30 miles. It's a saddle, you sit in it, not on top of it like some cheaper options. In my experience it is unique because it supports what you might call a pelvic girdle. With the right fore and aft adjustment, your weight is evenly supported where it used to be mostly on my tailbone. The padding is the right density but you might think it's heavy before riding but your opinion will change. I rode 13 miles first, no pain at all. I rode 22.5 miles in two days, no pain at all. It was without soft shorts. I was wearing Revain Gerlobal track shorts and nothing else. My next ride and future rides will be a full 30 miles in my training shorts. I want to express my absolute satisfaction with this saddle and short combo and hope it helps others make a wise purchase.
