I've never owned a sound system. My daughter and her husband have a very expensive one, which of course is much better than this one. They have four speakers in the room and one above, so it's like the theater. I'm hard of hearing, but I can't afford a hearing aid at the moment. So I was looking for a soundbar and this one seems to have the best reviews. I can't compare it to anyone else but I know I can now lower the audio on my TV by at least 10 notches and still hear all the words. My Roku TV also now has balanced audio instead of music that's so loud I can't hear what they're saying. Overall I am very happy with this system. Having never installed it before I would say it was very easy and I am 76 years old. The instructions were easy and when the remote wouldn't sync to it I quickly figured out why and made it just as easy.
