I used this compression gauge on a used dirt bike to see how long the engine had to live. The adapters fit a 250cc Suzuki motorcycle engine. cm and also fit the engine of my B&S lawnmower. All in all it's versatile for what I've needed so far, although I haven't used it on a car engine yet. On the other hand, for the price, this is a very comfortable compression tester. The two adapter thread sizes I've used so far fit well when screwed into the engine's spark plug hole and sealed with an O-ring. Like most compression testers, these adapters use pins for sealing, which is handy because you can screw the threads in by hand and still get a good seal. This gauge holds the pressure until you press the release button. To measure compression, crank the engine (or use a kick starter to start the engine) until the pressure stops increasing. On the other hand, it is not as accurate as some sensors. As you can see in the picture, this gauge reads in 25psi increments while other more expensive gauges I have used read in 10psi increments. But for what I'm going to use it for, it's accurate enough. The scale reads 0-300psi, so the scale is good for judging small motorcycle engines (typically 100-200psi compression).
