Review on Efficient Screw Removal Tool: ENGINEER PZ-60 Screw Removal Pliers with Extracting Serrated Jaws by Seth Singh

A tool everyone must have

ENGINEER NEJI-SAURUS pliers with green handle are identical to the Vampires. They are Japanese and made for the Japanese market. Vampires have red pens with English instructions and are significantly more expensive. You get what you pay for. They don't replace real high end needle nose pliers (SnapOn, KNIPEX) but they make great needle nose pliers and if they're your only pair then they do what you need. I've ever used teeth with large, aggressive teeth that actually mesh perfectly - as a result, they'll grab anything you put in, even thin wire. THERE IS A DEFECT. The tip has two notches for gripping the heads of small screws. This feature is useful, but leaves the tip of the needle a gap, and because of that, you might not be able to use it as effectively in this application - I think it's an acceptable trade-off. The needle tip has a sharp shape and is used to grab small parts in tight spaces. That's not what they're meant for. They are designed for small parts large enough for a blunt needle point. Personally, I need both pliers, but now I take them mainly because of the extreme interlocking of the perfectly interlocking jaws behind the nose. Great pliers. This is the smallest savings from the Engineer vs Vampires marketing program - the best deal on Linesman style pliers that were literally 35% cheaper in the green-handled line. I compared them side by side and I can assure you that they are made in the same factory, from the same steel, on the same equipment and have the same packaging, the only difference is the translation and the red pins on the vampires. That's all. I have tiny ESD electronics pliers, a needle and a linesman. There is an intermediate pair that I returned because after careful research I concluded that the other 3 tongs would cover all my needs and that the intermediate pair was overkill. If these are your only pair of pliers, then these too. If you only want to try a pair, linesmen are great, but these needles are more useful. I usually use German made KNIPEX pliers (the best) and SnapOn tools. I have used Channel Lock and Craftsman in the past and they are rubbish compared to Vampliers/Engineer and KNIPEX. KNIPEX are the best, but these Engineer pliers are very close in quality and serve a specific purpose such as a wire stripper or sheet metal. metal screws. I use them on PCBs because manufacturers like to fill screw heads with glue, hot glue, Loctite, CA, etc - to prevent tampering or repairs by third parties. They pay for themselves pretty quickly if you're a mechanic or technician.
