Solid aluminum material and design that fits my 13" MacBook Pro. I bought it to use in my home office with my new desk. Sometimes I just want to sit down to light Work without external monitors as the adjustable stand makes my work more comfortable which promotes an ergonomic sitting position with the laptop screen at eye level.I later found that it works well with the iPad as well as the mount adjusts to an almost vertical position can be tilted in front.One minor point is that the two connections are VERY tight from the factory and I had to use the wrench provided to do this.two screw adjustments.Once I set them to my desired tension they hold up very well. I think that's why a wrench is included in the kit.
