Review on Secure Your Wheels with McGard 24137 πŸ”’ Chrome Cone Seat Wheel Locks - Set of 4 by James Khalifa

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Via OEM and no shoulder Chevy Malibu 2016 225/55 R17

The OEM nuts on my Malibu are very deep because they are countersunk and I bought a different locking nut that was too shallow than my local auto parts (Dorman 711-321). They are deep enough to hook the wheel in (tested with a grease fitting in the wheel to make sure the nut is touching it). The locknuts are 70 grams versus 59 grams for the OEM nuts, I hope that's not a problem. Also, the locknuts stick out a bit from the wheel compared to the OEM, but since they're all countersunk it's not too noticeable (they're also chrome-plated, while the OEM is metallic gray and matte). I like that they are different so hopefully thieves will easily see them and stay away. The wrench is compatible with both 19mm (my OEM nut size) and 21mm which is handy. The grooves in the lock nut aren't very deep though, hopefully they'll hold up over time. The OEM locknuts were $65 at my local dealer, they didn't have stock so I couldn't compare them, but for less than half the price I'm happy with them so far.
