Review on 🛠️ RDS MFG INC 11025 Diesel Installation Kit by Michael Boyce

Bought this for my RDS fuel tank combination tool - 60 gallon model #72743 to install on my 2016 Ford F350. I have a truck to tow my 41 foot fifth wheel. When towing a 16kg trailer, fuel economy drops to around 8 or 9mpg, hence the addition of an auxiliary tank. Enough talking, let's get to the kit. Installation was easy, simple and straightforward. The tank took much longer to find places to drill holes. The set was quick and easy. My Ford has a metal fuel line from the filler cap that turns into a rubber line about a foot later. I managed to cut the rubber thread and install the kit at the metal to rubber transition. I had to cut about 4-5 inches of rubber tubing and use one of the couplers that came with it (see photo). The pieces fit together perfectly and it was easy to line everything up. Fill valve as vertical as possible. If it's not vertical, the check valve isn't working properly and you'll lose up to 60 gallons of fuel if you don't notice the problem. I also recommend using a large hole saw for the fuel line from the tank to the truck's fuel line. In my circuit, the valve stem from the tank almost touched the sloping bed of the truck, I had to enlarge the hole to allow the fuel line to pass through and allow clearance. I Use the remaining fuel line to add a piece to the vent valve on the tank and place it face up to reduce the chance of diesel fuel spilling into the toolbox.
