I bought this strap to repair a ratchet strap I bought from Vandz US 6 months ago. The Vandz belt consisted of two extremely thin pieces of "leather" embedded with an unknown core material. It began to break and fall apart where it connected to the buckle. This Barry Wang belt is a beautiful 3/16" x 1 5/16" piece of leather. I had to shave it down to 1 1/4 inches in the part that goes through my buckle, but I knew that when I bought it. The ratchet gears work great with my buckle. This.
