I purchased this 2014 F-150 in May 2021 with only 31,000 miles. In other words, it wasn't driven much before I got it, so I ran the injector cleaner through the fuel system just to calm it down. Because of those stupid new capless gas tanks, a bottle would spill most of its contents everywhere trying to get the bottle down the filler neck. After I finished filling up, it took a few minutes for the truck to start. This happened on the next fill up, although this time I didn't add injector cleaner. A google search revealed that the most likely culprit was the evaporator purge valve. Replacing this part took less than 10 minutes. After that I reset the engine control computer by disconnecting the positive battery cable and touching the piece of wire between the positive and negative terminals. I also reset the consumption computer. Now the truck starts right up every time, idles smoother and I get an additional 1.5 miles per gallon. PS The old valve was definitely a problem. I could blow air through the old one when it should have been closed.
