When my mechanic told me my A/C compressor was dead, I decided it was time to replace the 91,000 mile V-ribbed belt. . This one from Gates was one of the top rated I could find for half the price I would have paid for it locally. Suitable for a new compressor and everything else. That should last another 91,000 miles - or until someone hits me head-on.
